Absolutely. That's exactly why Mahj 101 exists. You don't need to know a single tile — we'll teach you everything you need, and all materials are provided.
Do I have to play mahjong to be part of this?
Not at all. Let's Read, Let's Dish, and At the Table are open to anyone who enjoys meaningful conversation and community — mahjong isn't required.
Do I need to buy a set or a card?
Not to start. We provide everything you'll need for lessons and sessions. If you decide the game is for you, we're happy to help you choose your own set and National Mah Jongg League card.
Can you host a private party or event?
Absolutely. We love bringing people together. Whether you're planning a private lesson, corporate event, fundraiser, or celebration, send us a note and let's start the conversation.
